Resignation

If a company decides to stop trading on one or more Euronext markets, it is required to go through the market resignation process. This ensures a smooth and compliant exit, covering all legal, operational, and technical requirements.

A resignation request can apply to:

  • All markets in which the company is active
  • Specific market(s) only

After requesting the Resignation, the process is divided into the following phases:

  1. Initiation:
    • The trading member initiates the resignation request by selecting the market(s) they intend to exit and when.
    • The resignation contract is generated and sent to the Authorized Signatory via DocuSign for signature.
  2. Acceptance & Notifications:
    • All required legal documentation is finalized during this phase.
    • A termination letter is generated, and internal teams are notified.
    • Additionally, the resignation process includes any necessary conformance tests and formal notifications to EuroClear, CCPs, and CSDs.
  3. Technical Deconfiguration:
The final step involves revoking the member’s market access within the Euronext’s systems by cancelling the associated trading authorizations.

After the completion of all phases, each phase must be marked with the status Completed:
